Christian Krattenthaler win Wittgenstein-Preis

The Wittgenstein price 2007 went to the biochemist Rudolf Zechner and mathtematician Christian Krattenthaler--8 young-researchers awarded with the START price. Science minister Johannes Hahn announced the Wittgenstein and Start price winners. In the next 5-6 years these reasearchers have about 11 Mio EUROS for their research.

Christian Krattenthaler, mathematician and pianist became professor at the university Vienna 2005. He studied mathematics in Vienna and piano. Krattenthaler is distinuished in enumerative combinatorics and contributed also to group representation theory, number theory and statistical mechanics as well as quantum information theory.
